Vorab wurden einige Varianten vom Final Fantasy VII in Fernost (mehrere Länder wie Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong ...) veröffentlicht. Die Transporter 3 Trilogie aus Frankreich ist auch mit diesen Aufklebern produziert worden. Der Steelbook Hersteller Scanavo soll wohl bei kleineren Bestellungen (unter 4000-5000 Stück) auf diese Herstellung ausweichen um die Produktion in einem gewissen Kostenrahmen zu gestalten. Vermutet wird momentan bei dem JCVD eine Auflagenhöhe von 2500 Stück und er ist wohl nicht an alle MM-Filialen ausgeliefert worden.
